The Booneville seventh grade Bearcats wrapped up an unbeaten season Thursday night with a 28-0 win over West Fork in a game that saw the Tigers held to 6 yards of offense.

Booneville (8-0-1 calling the Alma encounter a win) led 22-0 at the half and had allowed minus 31 yards.

Rocky Ross ran 53 yards the first time the Bearcats snapped the football and after Brandon Parrish caused a fumble and a 15-yard loss that led to a punt, Randon Ray went 42 yards on the second Booneville play.

Ross ran for a two point conversion after his touchdown and Ray did the same after his and it was 16-0 with 1:21 left in the first quarter.

It took the Bearcats three plays to score on their next possession with Ross getting the touchdown and 33 yards to make it 22-0. Elijah Ferguson was stopped on the two point try.

The Bearcats turned to Blazen Jones to start the third quarter and Jones had carries of 16 yards and 58 for a touchdown to make it 28-0 with 4:25 to play in the third quarter.

The Bearcats started the final quarter with Cade Smith and Braden Owen making a fourth down stop but a fumble gave the Tigers the ball back as Garrett Bradley made the recovery.

After a turnover on downs with 2:15 to go Jones would lose 4 yards, Race Blasett lost 3 more but Jones got 11 on the final play.

Jones ran for 80 yards and Ross for 101 for the Bearcats.
