Sam Scharbor, 73, of Washburn, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was retired from Greenwood Fixtures and a member of the National Street Rod Association.
A funeral service was held Friday, July 5, at the Washburn Church of Christ with burial at Washburn Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty; one son, Tommy Scharbor and wife, Elizabeth of Greenwood; one daughter, Sandra Britton and husband, Bill of Booneville; one sister, Charleen Bell and husband, George of Washburn; three grandchildren, Audree Cook, Mitchell Scharbor and Shelby Britton; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Aurora Cook.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Hicks, Dwight Taylor, Gomer Cumbie, Jim Evans, Roger Woods and Carl Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were the Washburn Coffee Drinkers and Greenwood Fixtures Employees.
