Marjorie (Harris) Klek, 72, of Booneville, died April 25, 2013. She was born July 16, 1940 in Marietta, Miss., the daughter of James Cecil and Lena Pearl (Pounds) Harris.
She was a Girl Scout Brownie Troop leader, was active in a number of activities at the Booneville Elementary School where she was known as "The Popcorn Lady". She was also involved in many activities with the Class of 2001 in the Booneville High School. She loved her family and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and an avid gardener.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nancy Harris; and four brothers, Bobby, Kenneth, Waymon and Pounds Harris.
A funeral service was held Monday, April 29, at Booneville Funeral Service Chapel with burial at Old Union Cemetery at Hackett under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service of Booneville.
Survivors are her husband, William Klek of the home; three daughters, Karen Bullard of Booneville, Mary Piovesan of Bellingham, Wash., and Amanda Klek of Booneville; one sister, Marilyn Turvaville of Marietta, Miss.,; one brother, Wyndel Harris and wife Elledith of Marietta, Miss.; two sisters-in-law, Betty Harris of Greenwood and Altie Harris of Alapha, Ga.; five grandchildren, Melissa Hathcoat of Victoria, Texas, Nicole Piovesan of Redmond, Oregan, Tony Piovesan of Seattle Wash., Joleigh Tate of Booneville and Clayton Wingfield of Alma; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends of the family.
Pallbearers were her nephews and great-nephews.
