Lorell Raymond Quick
Lorell Raymond Quick, 93, of Van Buren, formerly of Booneville, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born Aug. 14, 1920 in St. Louis, Mo., to Jess Frank and Allie (Baker) Quick.
He was a retired truck driver and was a Army veteran of World War II where he fought in the battle of the Bulge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ova Odean Quick, and grandson, Brandon Quick.
A funeral service was held Thursday, April 18, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, with burial in Carolan Cemetery near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by one daughter, Helen Granzella of Arizona; sons, Ronnie Quick and wife Judy of Magazine, Arkansas and Donald Quick of Van Buren; one sister, Maggie Whamoff of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Denver Griffith, Nate Hughes, Matt Himes, Kevin Shroyer, Roger Duncan and JoAnna Himes.
