James Ray Moore

James Ray Moore, 68, of Booneville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born Dec. 8, 1945 in Altimer, Ark., to Raymond and Betty (Boldt) Moore.

He was a Navy veteran and was retired from civil service after 38 years and was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by a son, Billy Martin Brannon, and a grandson, Justin Phillips.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at the Parkview Baptist Church in Booneville with burial in Carolan Cemetery near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Caralynn of the home; one daughter, Jeness Bailey of Alabama; two sons, Marvin Dale Armer of Texas and James Phillips Moore of Booneville; two brothers, Larry Moore of Booneville and Bobby Moore of Ward, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

The pallbearers will be Lee Roy Hurst, Larry Moore, Jimmy Lucas, Rex Davis, Tyler Cooper and Jimmy Willaby.

The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday evening at Roberts Funeral Home.
