Grace Marie Davis
Grace Marie Davis, 84, of Booneville, departed to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in Booneville. She was born May 20, 1928 in Booneville, to Roland Homer and Mary C. (Pumphrey) Lewis.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She was an active member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Booneville, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, and cooking but her greatest joy was providing for her family and spending time with her family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Wilkes and her brother, Howard Lewis.
Funeral services were on Saturday, May 11, at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Booneville, with burial at Bud Davis Cemetery in the Grayson community, near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband Elmer of Booneville; one daughter, Donna Marie Lamothe and husband David of Booneville; two sons, Gary Lee Davis and wife Linda of Booneville, and Ronald Omer Davis and wife Debbie of Lavaca; three sisters, Norma Westmoreland of Magazine, Sue Fitzgerald of Barling, and Emily Spain of Booneville; one brother, Joe H. Lewis of Booneville; six grandchildren, Reese, Jonathan, Heath, Shane, Christina and Daniel; 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The pallbearers will be grandchildren, Reese Davis, Jonathan Davis, Shane Davis, Heath Ewing and Daniel Davis. The honorary pallbearers will be David Lemothe, Bud Means and Dean Davis.
