Dale (Gattis) Marr, 81, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018. She was born Dec. 11, 1936, in Paris to her parents, Marvin Jewel and Zelma (Johnson) Gattis. She was a switch board operator for Cooper Clinic in Fort Smith for many years and a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Jewel and Zelma Gattis; and three brothers, Marvin Gattis, James Gattis and Danny Gattis; one sister, Shirley Spicer.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Nolan Marr of Fort Smith; and three stepsons, Ronnie Marr and wife Mildred of Muldrow, Sammy Marr and wife Shana of Muldrow and Don Marr and wife Dian of Van Buren; and two special nieces, Kimberly Spicer of Scranton and Karen Lambert and husband Chad of Conway.

Graveside service was Aug. 7 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.

Pallbearers were Dillon Marr, John Glosenger, Chad Lambert and Paul Allen Gattis.

Honorary pallbearers were James Palmer and Marvin Spicer.
