Joshua Hunter Smith, 21, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born Jan. 19, 1997 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Tony Carl and Stacey (Johnson) Smith.
He was a pipeline construction worker and of the Christian faith. He was a graduate of Booneville High School Class of 2015 where he loved playing football and helped win a state championship in 2013.
He loved spending time with his daughter Olivia and his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing sports.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Lendel Johnson and B.R. Rigsby, and great-aunt Genevieve Stanford.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Booneville, Arkansas with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by one daughter, Olivia Smith of Booneville; his parents, Tony Smith of Booneville and Stacey Buffington of Booneville; one sister, Amber Droemer of Magazine; two brothers, Dylan and Zachery Smith, both of Booneville; maternal grandmother, Kathy Rigsby of Booneville; paternal grandparents, Don and Shelia Smith of Greenwood and Jetty Smith of Booneville; several aunts and uncles, niece and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Hill, Ethan Mosely, Billy Terry, Bryson May, Jacob Krepps, Colton Marshall, Damon May, and Jimmy Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Booneville High School Class of 2015.
