Willard Preston Perkins, Sr. of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was born Jan. 19, 1927 in Olney, Texas to William T and Lulabelle (Sherman) Perkins.

He was a retired welder/fabricator and was a Jack of all trades. He was a disabled Army veteran of World War II. He was a deacon of the Southside Baptist Church in Booneville.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie M. Perkins; two sisters, Christine Perkins and Geneva Fennell; two brothers, L.W. Perkins and Waymon Perkins; and his parents, before mentioned.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial in Evans Cemetery in Magazine — there will be no graveside service — under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by three daughters, Carole Griggs (Homer) of Proctor, Texas, Barbara Carter of Booneville and Marilyn Rogers (Charlie) of Booneville; one son, Willard Perkins, Jr. (Emily) of Booneville; two sisters, Joan Roach of Booneville and Patsy Franklin of Marlow, Okla.; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
