Twila Pearl Pennebaker, 84, died on July 1, 2017. She lived with her husband of 65 years, Winton (Penny), in Longview, Wash.
She was born on March 14, 1933 to Ella Mae Helt and Elmer Zerbe in Sunbury, Penn.. She grew up in Sunbury, and graduated from Sunbury High School in June 1951. Twila and Penny were married in Booneville, on May 6, 1952. They moved to Portland, Ore., in the early 1950s, and then to Vancouver, Wash., where they lived until Penny’s retirement from the railroad in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Thelma Ward, and Patricia Sechrist.
A funeral service was held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, in Vancouver, Wash., on Friday, July 7. A reception followed at the home of her daughter Jackie.
She is survived by her husband; five children, Judy Ellis, Roger, Jackie Steiner, Brian, and Monte, 13 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
