David Monroe Turley Sr., 64, of Booneville, passed from this life on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born Dec. 12, 1952 to Floyd N. and Iva L. (Ruckman) Turley.

He was a retired salesman for Carquest Auto Parts in Booneville. He was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church and loved helping in the children’s ministry and the men’s ministry.

He loved fishing, cooking, gardening and trading cars, spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Christa Dawn Turley; sister, Sharlyn Pruitt; and a brother-in-law, Don Pruitt.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 A.M., Monday, July 3, at the Glendale Baptist Church near Booneville, with burial in Glendale Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.

He is survived by his wife, Kyla Turley of the home; two sons, David Monroe Turley Jr. of Piedmont, Ala. and Joseph Daniel Turley of the home; one sister, Kay Wolski of Booneville; two brothers, Ed Turley of Booneville and Randy Turley of Elk City, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Owen Young, David Harding, Danny Goddard, John Cobb, Bobby Halford, Lance Brown, Joe Turner, and Webb Watts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Farris, Andy Napier, Monte Larimore, Dean Knight.
