Carmela Marguerite McGaha Aaron passed away May 14, 2017

Carmela Marguerite McGaha Aaron, 73, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on May 14, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. She was born on June 21, 1943 in San Leandro, California to the late Robert Lee McGaha II and Anna Maria Fiannaca McGaha. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had belonged to the congregation in Heber Springs since 1970. Throughout her life, Carmela enjoyed spending time in her ministry where she could share wonderful Bible-based promises to others, especially like that of the Resurrection Hope which Jesus Christ taught. She graduated Salutatorian in 1994 from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR at the age of 51 as a Certified Medical Assistant and enjoyed working in clinics and especially in a medical laboratory. She later became the Activities Director at Southridge Retirement Village in Heber Springs, where she loved not only her job, but the residents she cared for. 

Survivors include; one daughter: Missy Aaron of Batesville, Arkansas; one son: Jeremy Aaron of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one grandson: Tyler Woodall (Sidney) of Batesville, Arkansas, one great-grandson: Kendal Creekmore; one great-granddaughter: JayLee Fjelsted; one brother: Robert McGaha III (Glenda) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, as well as much extended family and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGaha II and one granddaughter, Stacy Donald Fjelsted. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessess, 110 E Sunny Meadow Road, Heber Springs, Arkansas. Rod Watkins, an elder in the congregation will be officiating.
