Margie Lou Kirk Burns, 96, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born Dec. 21, 1920 in Golden City Community near Booneville, to Robert A. and Jo Ella (Halford) Morton.

She retired from Ace Comb in Booneville after 30 years. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville and was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

She loved quilting and sewing, singing and playing music and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Kirk and Opal Burns, and her parents, before mentioned.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m, Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Booneville, with burial in Carolan Cemetery near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

She is survived by a daughter, Joann Pennebaker and husband Fletcher of Booneville; grandsons, Bob Pennebaker (Trish) of Booneville and Bill Pennebaker (Pene) of Carnation, Wash.; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Pennebaker of Ellensburg, Wash., Kayla Pennebaker of Springdale, and Chasity Pennebaker of Booneville; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gary Taylor, Gary Witcher, Buddy Littlefield, Dennis Bedene, Jerry Wilkins, and Jim Bill Fennell.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home.
