Roy Lee Wofford, 87, of Booneville, passed from this life on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 in Charleston. He was born Jan. 28, 1930 in Alma.
He was a retired field superintendent on high rise construction. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, National Rifle Association and the Arkansas Sheriffs Association Boys and Girls Ranch.
He loved raising cattle and helping people.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Montie Wofford and his parents, Price and Snow (Blevins) Wofford.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville with interment in Fort Smith National Cemetery at 1 p.m., under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; five daughters, Louise Mayrhofen of McAlester, Okla., , Carol Corley of Booneville, Dana Day of Urbandell, Iowa, Michel Snyder of Nauvoo, Ill., and Vicki Richards of Des Moines, Iowa; one son, Jimmy Wofford of the home; one brother, Bobby Wofford of Waco, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be C.J. Danekas, Eli Campbell, Tyler Wofford, Derek Wofford, Roy Littleton, and Robert Richardson.
