A body found in the Sugar Creek area of Sugar Grove on Monday, Feb. 17 has been positively identified as that of Aaron Bradley DeWitt according to the Logan County Sheriff’s office. DeWitt was identified through dental records.

The department made the announcement via a Facebook page.

DeWitt was found Monday night by coon hunters Logan County Sheriff Steve Smith said earlier this week.

DeWitt, 35, was reported missing to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office’s Jan.10. DeWitt had last been seen in the vicinity of the area where the body was located Smith said.

Although DeWitt has been identified the cause or manner of death has not been determined by the state medical examiner as yet. On Tuesday Smith said it was uncertain when such a determination might be made.

DeWitt had not been seen then since leaving his home on Jan. 10. Search teams from the Logan, Sebastian and Franklin County sought for DeWitt after he was reported missing.
