“The Sweepstakes award is the pinnacle achievement of bands in Arkansas. They are very difficult to earn. Booneville has shown that we have a complete, well-rounded band program and the Sweepstakes Award is a testament to that success,” said Brian Rhodes, director of bands for Booneville Public Schools.
Upcoming events for the band program include April 6, Region 8 Solo and Ensemble Contest in Cederville; April 21, Jazz Band performance at the Arkansas State Jazz Festival in Van Buren; and April 26, annual Spring Concet, 6:30 p.m., Booneville High School Auditorium.
