A Dardanelle man has been charged with rape and sexual assault for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse and sexual contact with a person under 14-years of age.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Oliver Loaeza, 41, engaged in intercourse and had sexual contract with a family member four times between approximately 2005 and 2017.
Loaeza was being held in the Yell County Jail in Danville in lieu of a $250,000 bond. He was transported from Danville to Booneville for court Friday where he was arraigned.
Represented by attorney Reggie Koch, Loaeza waived formal arraignment enter plea of not guilty. Appearances of May 4 and 18 were set by the court.
The rape charge against Loaeza is a Class Y felony. The sexual assault charge is a Class B felony.
