Author Tom Krause will be speaking on Feb. 10 at the Booneville Development Corporation/South Logan County Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Valentine dinner fundraiser.
BDC/Chamber Executive Director Susan Featherston said she is expecting a bigger crowd for the dinner show fundraiser and, consequently, has moved the event to the First Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Tickets are $35 person and must be purchased in advance at the Chamber office or from a Chamber Board of Director member because no tickets will be available at the door. The dealine to purchase tickets is Friday, according to Featherston.
Krause, a native of Boonville, Mo., will speak on the topic of the power of love.
Krause has written the books Touching Hearts - Teaching Greatness, A Teen’s Guide to Not Being Perfect and the Little Boy’s Smile and he has also been a contributing author to over 20 books in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
According to his website, “(Krause’s) published articles on leadership, business, and education have appeared in international and national publications such as The School Administrator, Global Study Magazine, Leading Today Magazine, Leadership Values, Academic Leadership Today and others.
“(Krause) has spread his inspiring message at conferences including the International Lion’s Club Leadership Conference, European Council of International Schools, National Speakers Association Convention, Future Business Leaders of America, Insurance Leaders Conference, National SADD and others.”
