A month ago Brooklyn May was part of a state championship cheerleading team. Saturday she was part of an all-Fellowship of Christian Athletes Mister and Miss Booneville High School.
Additionally, with Grayson Schlinker named Mr. BHS, the 60th annual Mr. and Miss Booneville High School pageants were a family affair — May and Schlinker, are cousins.
For her talent May performed a modern dance routine hitting upon, among other, M.C. Hammer and Whip and Nae Nae.
May is a senior and is the daughter of Ricky and Rachel May. Schlinker is a junior and the daughter of Rachel May’s sister, Ruth, and Ronnie Schlinker.
Schlinker was the First Runner-up Mr. BHS in 2017.
This year that was Dalton Tatum, a junior who was the Second Runner-up Mr. BHS in 2017. Tatum was representing the school’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America Saturday.
The First Runner-up Miss BHS for 2018 is Beth Wilkinson, who was representing the National FFA Organization.
Complete with a video prop of falling snowflakes, Wilkinson sang “Let It Go” from Disney’s film, Frozen.
The Second Runner-up Mr. BHS this year is Chase Wiggins, who was representing the senior class.
The Second Runner-up Miss BHS is Abbie Heissler, who also represented the school’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.
For her talent Heissler played piano and sang “A Thousand Years”.
