The Logan County Sheriff’s Officer will be conducting an Auxiliary Officer Class beginning in late January 2018.
“We are looking for individuals who want to be a part of making Logan County a better place to live” Sheriff Boyd Hicks said.
Auxiliary Deputies must successfully complete the 140 hour training program to become certified. After the training program and 200 hours in a field training program, candidates may also have the opportunity to transfer to the part-time deputy program and receive payment for up to 19 hours per week or join the Specialized Police team and work up to 29 hours per week, Hicks said.
If you are retired law enforcement, military, or just have some time to volunteer and would like to join the department, please give Hicks your contact information in a private message and he will get back to you. You can reach Hicks by telephone at 963-3271 or go to the department’s Facebook page.
