Wednesday night in Ozark.

Arkansas Adult Education will host Arkansas’ Night In, a simultaneous open house at its 36 adult education centers around the state, including at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark, to raise awareness about adult education programs and the success of those who have completed a program.

Students and graduates of Adult Education programs will share their stories of success as well as business owners who employ graduates.

Arkansas Tech-Ozark will host the event Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 1700 Helberg Lane, in Ozark. The Adult Education Building is located in the West Annex building on Hwy 23.

More than 36 million American adults struggle to read, write, do math, and use technology above a third grade level. In Arkansas, 528,611 or 18 percent of the population need Adult Education and training.

Adult education graduates are more likely to be employed full-time and minimum wage workers increased wages by 18 to 25 percent within 18 months of exiting an adult education program.
