Booneville Police Chief Al Brown said Monday vandals who have plagued the city’s Oak Hill Cemetery have struck again.

Previously the vandals have knocked over tombstones or other mischievous behavior. Last weekend they added spray paint to their repertoire.

“There was no real damage, until the paint,” Brown said.

A yellow color paint was used on at least one tombstone.

Brown suspects the culprits are juveniles and says the department has some ideas about making an arrest in the case.

The tombstones vandalized, Brown believes, are random rather than targeted.

Brown also said he welcomes anyone with information reguarding the vandalism to visit or call him at the BPD.
