Booneville Police Albert Brown was shot in the early morning hours of April 26. He was taken to the hospital while his assailant was arrested and sent to the Yell County Detention Center.

Chief Brown has recovered from his injuries, none of which required surgery. He was released from the hospital on the 27th and immediately went to see his son perform at the Spring BHS Band concert. There are no lingering effects to his injuries with the exception of having physical therapy on his left arm for injuries sustained during the confrontation.

Brown returned to work May 9. He was anxious to return to work and to the duties he performs for the city.

Brown expressed his appreciation for the officers from Booneville, Logan County and others that helped him and his family that night and have continued to since that time.
