LITTLE ROCK — Vice President Mike Pence will make an appearance Friday in Little Rock, the state Republican Party said Thursday.

Pence is scheduled to make remarks at 2:30 p.m. at Little Rock Tours and Travel, the party said in a news release. Doors will open at noon.

Guests are asked to park in the parking lot of Horace Mann Arts and Sciences Magnet Middle School at 1000 E. Roosevelt Road. They will be shuttled to the event site, the party said.

Pence’s visit comes as Congress grapples with repeal and replacement of the federal Affordable Care Act. Pence has been stumping in support of a GOP health-care bill that Gov. Asa Hutchinson has said is “inadequate” for Arkansas.
