A Booneville man charged in January with rape, sexual assault and sexual indecency with a child has been charged with 20 counts of distributing possessing or viewing matter depicting sexual explicit conduct involving a child.

The charges against Chris Allen Robertson, 58, along with two counts of possession of a firearm by certain persons, stem from the service of a search warrant at Robertson’s home on Jan. 5.

Along with the weapons, seized during the execution of the warrant were two small baggies with a white crystal substance which field tested positive as methamphetamine and three computers on which were found 111 unique files containing child pornography, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Each of the porn counts is a Class C felony and the weapons charges are Class D felonies, court documents show.

Documents also show bond was set for Robertson at $500,000 and that he has completed paperwork to be declared indigent and appointed a public defender.

Ernie Witt is the attorney of record for Robertson’s rape, assault and indecency case. Witt entered a not guilty plea for his client on Feb. 3 and Robertson was then free on a $250,000 bond.

His next court appearances on those charges are April 7 and 10.
