A Paris woman leaped to her death last week on Mount Magazine in an act described by incident reports as a suicide.

According to incident reports from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the woman drove her vehicle into a tree near the Cameron Bluff parking area sometime on Monday, Jan. 16. Inside were letters addressed to three individuals, according to incident reports. Sheriff Boyd Hicks and a park ranger searched the area until darkness fell, according to the reports.

The search was resumed on Tuesday, Jan. 17. The woman’s body was found below the bluff at 9:47 a.m., the report states.
