The Small Town Enhancement Project United and Proud, STEP UP will be reeling in 2017 with a family friendly New Year’s Eve Bash, Saturday, Dec. 31, starting at 7 p.m.

The event includes live music with a local favorite, Wildfire and DJ “K”. There will be life sized games like Operation, glow in the dark bowling and Jenga. Kids of all ages will enjoy carnival games, vendors, food and alcohol-free mocktails.

There will be two tents set up, one to warm up in and one to play brown bag Bingo. The schedule includes a piñata for kids and Inspyral Entertainment will perform from 9:30-11:30. The night ends at midnight with a South Logan County inspired ball drop and backyard fireworks.

“To thank our vendors for supporting STEP UP all year long, we are offering a drawing for a three-night stay in Branson to vendors who registered before Dec. 20.”

Event T-shirts are available for pre-sale on Facebook and on the organization's website.

STEP UP, a program of Rural Digital Bridge is designed to enhance our community through projects that create community connections, awareness, and improved quality of life. Over the past year, STEP UP has been able to enhance other program’s events, provide community service opportunities, and put on new events in South Logan County.

The group would not be able to do that without the generous contributions from their Community Stars and other local sponsors. Community stars have donated between $100-$500 each this fall to help the group implement the fall/ winter programs.

Platinum Community Stars: Oak Manor, Web Productions; Gold Community Stars: Global Therapy, Dray Enterprises, Specialty Hats-n-That/ Tiffany Square, Mike Harris Racing, Davenport Law Offices; Silver Community Stars: Hwy 10 Café; Bronze Community Stars: Doris Davis, Brasher Cabinets, Dr. Shirey, Glendale Mercantile, Community National Bank, Rockin Robins/Glen’s Man Cave, The Mavericks — Monta Scharbor and Debbie Pearson, Tyler Ford, Booneville Flower Shop, Simple Simons, Eddie’s Trading Post, Do Drop In Convenience Store, Tango 2 in Paris; and other generous sponsors: Walmart, El Penjamo, Arkansas Valley Insurance, Touch-N-Go Repair, The Cupcake Cottage, Junk In The Trunk and Pizza Italia Booneville.
