A Booneville man is accused of stealing more than $23,000 in equipment from gas well locations in Logan County.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Allan James Perdue, 36, was identified as a suspect in thefts in Franklin County and a Logan County deputy assisted in his arrest.

Interviewed about the thefts in Logan County, Perdue apparently told investigators he alone stole the items in question and any transactions for scrapping the materials by his wife were done without her knowing the items were stolen.

The charge against Perdue is a Class C felony punishable upon conviction by three to 10 years in prison and or a fine of up to $10,000.
