Each year the National Association of Small Trucking Companies sponsors a driver of the year program to recognize the very best drivers within their group. Among the divers nominated for the prestigious honor this year is David Bills of Booneville, who drives for Dray Enterprises of Booneville.
The Association represents over 7,000 trucking companies in the U.S. and Canada that employ over 91,000 drivers collectively.
“As a nominee for (this) award, David Bills joins a very elite group that represent the very best of our 91,000 drivers,” according to Buster Anderson, executive vice president of NASTC.
“I am proud of him and want to thank him for all his hard work and safety first attitude,” said Dray spokesperson Mark Walker.
“Dray Enterprises is very proud of their drivers and should be proud of themselves as well,” Anderson adds. “It says a lot about a company when they can attract and keep employees of this caliber.”
Bills has driven for Dray Enterprises for over 18 years and has been a professional driver for over 21 years. He has logged over 3.1 million accident free miles.
