The Booneville High School Drama Department’s annual production will be Disney’s Little Mermaid, with public performances Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m., and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., at the BHS auditorium.

Senior Cameron Harbison will be in the lead role of Ariel with Chance Bottoms filling the role of the Prince. Ariel’s father, King Triton is being played by Jacob Stewart. Both Bottoms and Stewart are juniors.

Harbison was the Clock in last year’s production of Beauty and the Beast and also filled the role of White Mouse in Alice in Wonderland two years ago.

The casting continues a royalty theme for Stewart, as he was a prince in the 2017 play.

Students have been in rehearsal for the show since December, director Doug Sanders said last week.

Lily Taylor is playing the role of Sebastian the Crab. Her previous credits include the Candle in Beauty and the March Hare in Alice.

In the role of Babbett in Beauty last year, Lindsey Bastion has been cast as Flounder the Fish. Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick is playing Scuttle the Seagull and Adria Coffer is in the role of Ursula the Octupus.

Chef Louise and Flotsam the Eel are being played by Madison Jones — she played Lefu in Beauty — and Tiffany Jeffcoat is Jetsam.

Mersisters are Macy Geddes, Taylor Miller, Bianca Robertson, Haley Carter, Melisa Humble and Kelsey Mikles. Carter Woodhull will play Grimsley the Butler.

Tickets for the play are available in advance at the high school office and will be available at the door before each performance.
