Here are a few of the things St. Patrick’s Day themed events going on in the South Logan County and surrounding area in the coming days.

St. Patrick’s Day On The Beer Farm

Come celebrate one of our favorite holidays on the beer farm, Prestonrose Farm and Brewing Company, located at 201 St. Louis Valley Road in Paris, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17.

On the precipice of winter giving way to spring, the folks at Prestonrose couldn’t love it more and are set for the 2nd annual release of the Irish Red, Cailleach Ruadh. Available will be snacks, friends and of course good beer.

Women Of Ireland

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true Irish fashion at the Alma Performing Arts Center Friday night at 7 p.m. Women of Ireland brings together the most adorned elements of Celtic music, song and dance showcasing the next generation of Ireland’s leading female performers.

Women of Ireland features a lineup of Irish step dancers, featuring special guest, world champion and former lead dancer with Riverdance, Anthony Fallon, alongside principal dancer and World Champion, Kelly McDonnell. Women of Ireland’s dancers cannot be trumped on any stage world-wide.

Parade

The Fort Smith St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted by the the Fort Smith Firefighters Pipe and Drum Corps will take place March 18 at 4 p.m. The parade route will start at 13th and Garrison and travel west to North 6th Street.

(Off Theme Idea) Get Planting

The River Valley Master Gardener’s and the University of Arkansas is putting on the 2017 Arkansas River Valley Lawn and Garden Show March 17-19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, at the Fort Smith Civic Center, located at 55 South 7th Street in Fort Smith.

This years theme is “Go Wild with Gardening”. Many vendor booths will be there Including Express Tree & landscaping has a large garden space and booth. Ryan Watts will be there to answer any questions about the many services that they offer and to schedule free estimates.
