In addition to the 35th annual Booneville Christmas parade and other Christmas events this weekend, here are a few of the things going on in the South Logan County and surrounding area.

Christmas Open House On Mountain

Christmas Open House at the Mount Magazine Visitor Center is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 3.

Enjoy a festive atmosphere and light refreshments. Start your holiday shopping for unique items such as bird houses, handmade scarves, herbed vinegar, etc. to support the park’s volunteer organization, the Mount Magazine Action Group (MtMAG). Learn how to become a park volunteer from members eager to share their stories and love of the park. This event is free and open to the public.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The South Sebastian County Boys & Girls Club in Greenwood will host its second annual Daddy-Daughter Dance from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., on Dec. 2. Tickets for the event are $25 per couple and are available at Monograms & More, Farmer’s Bank and the South Sebastian County Boys & Girls Club through Dec. 1, or $30 at the door. In either case there is a $10 fee for each extra person.

RAM Saturday

The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum (RAM), located at 1601 Rogers Avenue in Fort Smith, is offering free programs known as RAM Saturdays each week from noon to 5 p.m. through the end of the year.

Each week participants will learn about techniques and materials in the RAM studio and have the opportunity to make their own original works of art. The activity on Saturday, Dec. 3 will be “Handprint Cardinals.”
